韩国夫妇的爱心图书房
2006年“六一”那天，100多名“脏”孩子，穿过坑坑洼洼、七扭八拐的石子路，聚集到中国昆明市西山区土堆村的一处图书房。这些附近外来务工者的子女很快就挤满了这套80平方米的房间，甚至拥满了过道和门外的空地。于是儿童节的快乐也在这里蔓延开来。孩子们自己合唱《打靶归来》，自己表演小品《偷鸡蛋》，歌声不断，笑声不断。看着孩子们的笑脸，旁边的一对韩国夫妇脸上溢满了笑容。妻子宋女士惊喜地说：“他们还会唱《大长今》/Dae Jang Geum，真让人感到意外，还唱得那么好听！”
韩国人高荣基和他的妻子宋女士是这欢乐的制造者。这三套间的图书房，正是这对在云南大学留学的韩国夫妇开办的。
院墙上挂着一块“土堆图书房”的红色指示牌，写着“星期一至星期五下午4：30－6：30，星期六下午2：00－6：30小学生免费看书，看电影”。图书房里窗明几净，十多张高低不同的大方桌可以适应不同年龄孩子的需要，墙边上立着木制书架，架上摆满了各类儿童书籍。这里几乎每天都会不约而同地有五六十个外来打工者的子女来看书。这些孩子，有些是家里没钱供他们上学，有些则是在附近条件较差的小型民工学校里读书。
在谈到开办图书房时，原本笑容满面的宋女士，脸上泛起了一丝忧郁。她用略带外国味的汉语说：“他们太可怜了，只是想帮帮他们。”
在昆明度过的第一个平安夜，高荣基穿着圣诞老人的衣服，买了很多小食品和一些小玩具，到处送礼物，无意之间就来到了土堆村。这里的多数房客都以捡垃圾和打零工为生，石子路两旁不时可以看到大包小包的垃圾袋，空气里弥散着各种难闻的气味，小孩子穿着又脏又旧的衣服出没在街头。繁华城市中这个贫苦的角落，让少年丧父、青年丧母的高荣基一阵心酸。过早失去亲人，让他体会到了生活的压力，但也让他得到了别人伸出的关爱之手。从此他心里就再也放不下这些孩子了。c
今年3月，这个专门面对附近农民工子女的免费图书房开门了。宋女士清楚地记得开门第一天的情景：“那些孩子太可爱了，我们只是向他们挥挥手，对他们说，这里有好多好看的书，不一会儿，图书房里就涌进来了40多个小孩。”
高荣基夫妇已经有了一个刚满两岁的孩子，家里的生活开支并不小。高荣基在云南大学读中文，要准备汉语考试，课余时间还打工。宋女士目前在家里照顾小孩。他们现在每月要为这个图书房支付1000元的费用，包括400元的房租、300元老师辅导费以及水电费和购书费。宋女士笑着说：“那些小孩子太厉害了，每天要喝掉一大桶矿泉水。”

On the Children's Day of 2006,Crossing a tortuous and bumpy rocky road, some 100 untidy kids came together to a reading room in the Tudui village of the XiShan district ,Kunming city.The 80-square meter apartment was thronged with children of workers from other cities or provinces in China.Some kids even stayed at corridor and the open area to the door. All the children sung the"Back From the Butts" song,played a cameo named"Stealing egg"for the Korean couple.Mrs Sung, surprised with happiness,"they can sing 'Dae Jang Geum',that's out of our expectation.That sounds quite good." Children's performance brought the couple great pleasure.
This Korean couple----Mr Gao Rong-ji and his wife Mrs Sung,are the makers of joy to those children.They are the founders of this 3-chamber-suite reading room.
Hanging on the wall,there is a red board written on" Mondy to Friday:4:30-6:30pm;Saturday: 2:00-6:00pm.Free for primary school students to watch movie and read book." It is a very clean suite,and some ten or other desks with different sizes are prepared for students.Wooden bookshelves stand beside the walls,various children's books placed on them.About fifty to sixty kids come to there everyday.Some can't go to school for financial problem,some only can go to informal school for the same reason.
Mrs Sung talked about the purpose on opening the reading room."We just want to give them a hand."
On his first Christmas Eve in Kunming,Mr Gao Rong-Ji dressed as Santa Claus,sent snack and toys as presents to children all over this city.He happend to come to the TuDui village,a slum-like backstreet,which in a bad sanitary conditons, and saw the children living there.
Mr Gao Rong-ji got help from others when he lost his parents in his childhood,so he decided to help those children out of pity.
In the March of this year,Gao Rong-ji and his wife started up a charity reading room for children. Mrs Sung remembered the first day's story,"those kids were so cute,we beckoned them in our reading room,more than forty came in succession."
Mr Gao has learnt Chinese in Yunnan University.He is preparing the HSK test and doing some part-time job after class.His wife stays at home,taking good care of their own 2-year-old baby.It costs 1000 RMB to keep the reading room open every month,including 400 RMB rent for the house,300 RMB tuition and the rest for buying books and charges for water and electricity. Saying that,Mrs Sung laughed,"we need to provide one pail of mineral water for these kids everyday."
Meanwhile,Mr Gao and his wife keep their book renewed.Their little readers know much from those books,they even get praise by their teachers and make progress on their study.They become more and more confident.At the same time, more and more children go to the reading room.
Mrs Sung said that she benefited by others' help before,and is always appreciative of people's help,no matter Chinese or Korean they are.

CHINA-HUBEI-COUPLE-TROUPE 夫 妻 戏 班 中国湖北黄陂青年剧团,一个乡镇的民营剧团,由几对夫妻为骨干,在现实生存的压力中寻找对生活和艺术的追求,年演出达到250场以上。上个世纪八十年代初,楚剧的发源地黄陂县,被改革开放激发的农民,先后成立了一批楚剧团。1984年祁家湾乡创建剧团,因为演员基本是初中毕业的农民,取名叫青年楚剧团。乡里投资5000元，首批64名学员每人出资100元，凑成剧团的开办本钱。经过三四年的磨炼,当剧团在演艺上开始成熟时,经济上却面临散伙的危险。1990年剧团开始承包经营。 现任团长杜文华,2000年接手新的承包后,剧团的日子一天天好起来,但爱人祁秋荣没少受委曲。夫妻二人原本是团里的台柱,不仅人长得俊,戏也唱得好。为了支持丈夫工作,笼住大伙的心,祁秋荣一改往日好胜的脾气,变成团里的出气筒。乡间演出都是包戏，一般每场要1500元。团长包全团的吃住等生活开销，按演出角色给大伙发工资，平均每人一场戏30元，台柱翻番。因为他夫妻二人待人好,大家干活十分卖力。 戏班的生活是艰辛的。常年的演出都在农村,全团二十多个人经常挤在三、四间房里。夫妻们虽然天天在一起,却往往要按性别分开居住。不过成双成对的总是多个照应。男的最高兴的是衣服有人洗，女的最高兴的是转场时重活有人干。常桂珍,戏班的腕,团里唯一掉单的女人。她说,“我爱楚剧,但又担心干不了一辈子，因此找了个不唱戏的老公。但是干这一行还是两口子在一起好些。” 改行是演员们经常的诱惑。黄应东,从小喜欢唱戏,曾师从楚剧表演艺术家钟慧然。因嫌工资低,1990年,夫妻双双去上海做生意。无奈爱人胡桂芳怎么也忘不了戏台,2001年黄应东又陪着爱人回到剧团。“都在一起唱了这么多年,得成双对,要来一对来,要走一对走。只要有一个想唱,另一个就得随。”黄应东说出了夫妻演员择业的原则。 演出改变了演员们的生活。戏班并没有固定的场所，每年有9个多月活动在乡间地头，帮不了老人，也顾不了孩子。他们是离不开演戏，但不愿自己的子女干这一行。上大学是祁秋荣对儿子最大的希望，儿子初中毕业后却悄悄地考上了黄陂楚剧团，夫妻俩怎么劝也劝不回。鼓师常建运的女儿只有6岁，偷偷学会了二十多出戏，最向往的是上省戏校楚戏班。 这些戏班里的夫妻们,因为爱戏而恩爱，因为恩爱而更爱戏。他们使地方戏得以传承，而不是被收藏在博物馆里。
